병원관련 의학 용어

전문의와 진료과에 대한 표현입니다.

1. 내과전문의(Physician, Internist)

내과는 Internal Medicine이라고 합니다.

 Cardio(심장내과, 순환기내과 Cardiology), Pulmo(호흡기내과, Pulmonology), GI(소화기내과, GastroIntestinal), Endo(내분비내과, Endocrinology), Hema-Onco(혈액종양내과, Hematology & Oncology), Nephro(신장내과, Nephrology), 감염내과(Infection), 류마티스내과(Rheumatology)등이 있습니다.

  *** Subspecially별 전문의 명칭은 과명위를 ~ist 로 바꾸면 됨. Cardiology ➝ Cardiologist 심장내과 전문의

2. 외과 전문의(General Surgeon, GS)

     외과는 general surgery이며 줄여서 GS라고 부릅니다.

3. 산부인과전문의(Obstetrician 산과 , Gynecologist 부인과 전문의)

     과명은 Obstetrics(산과) and gynaecology(부인과) ➞ 줄여서 OBGY(OB & GY).

4. 소아과 전문의(Pediatrician)

     소아과는 pediatrics입니다.

5. 정형외과 전문의(Orthopedist, orthopedic surgeon, OS)

     과명은 Orthopedics 이고 병원에선 orthop(a)edic surgery를 줄여 OS 라고 부릅니다.

6. 성형외과 전문의(Plastic surgeon, plastic Surgery, PS)

     영어로 plastic Surgery이며 줄여서 PS라고 합니다.

7. 흉부외과 전문의(Thoracic surgeon, chest surgery, CS)

      과명이 thoracic surgery or chest surgery이며, 줄여서 CS라고 합니다.

8. 신경외과 전문의(Neurosurgeon,  NeuroSurgery, NS)

       과명은 NeuroSurgery이고 줄여서 NS라고 부릅니다.

9. 신경과전문의(Neurologist, Neuro)

       과명은 neurology이고 줄여서 Neuro라고 합니다.

10. 신경정신과 전문의((Neuro) Psychiatrist, NP)

       과명은 (Neuro)Psychiatry이며 줄여서 NP라고 합니다.

11. 안과 전문의(Ophthalmologist)

       과명은 ophthalmology입니다.

12. 피부과 전문의(Dermatologist)

       과명은 Dermatology입니다.

13. 이비인후과 전문의(Otorhinolaryngologist, ENT specialist)

        과명은 otorhinolaryngology이고 또는 ENT(Ears, Nose and Throat)라고 사용합니다.

14. 마취통증의학과 전문의(Anesthesiologist)

      과명이 Anesthesiology입니다.

15.  재활의학과 전문의(Rehabilitation Specialist, RM)

       과명은 Rehabilitation Medicine이고 줄여서 RM으로 부릅니다.

16.  비뇨기과 전문의(Urologist, Uro)

        과명은 Urology이고 줄여서 Uro라고 합니다.

17. 영상의학과 전문의(Roentgenologist, radiologist)

       과명은 Radiology입니다.

18. 가정의학과 전문의(Family physician, FM)

       과명은 Family medicine이고 줄여서 FM라고 합니다.

19. 응급의학과 전문의(Emergency (Medicine) Physician, Emergency Medicine specialist, EM)

       과명은 Emergency Medicine, 줄여서 EM이며 응급실은 Emergency Room(ER)으로 표기합니다.

20. 핵의학과 전문의(Nuclear medicine physician, Nuclear medicine specialist)

       과명은 Nuclear Medicine입니다.

21. 방사선종양학과 전문의(Radiation oncologist,  RT)

      과명은 Radiation Therapy 또는 Radiation oncology아며 줄여서 RT라고 합니다.

22. 병리과 전문의(Pathologist)

       과명은 (Anatomical) Pathology입니다.

23. 진단검사의학과 전문의(Clinical Pathologist)

       과명은 Clinical Pathology입니다.

24. 예방의학과 전문의(Preventive medicine specialist)

        과명은 Preventive Medicine입니다.

25. 산업의학과 전문의(Occupational medicine specialist)

        과명은 Occupational Medicine입니다.

26. 호흡기 내과 전문의(Pulmonologist )

27. 알레르기 전문의(Allergist, immunologist) 

28. 암 전문의(Oncologist)

29. 족병 전문의(Podiatrist)
